CHAUTAUQUA/OPEN SPACE TOUR
Boulder’s rich historic past comes alive on this hike through Chautauqua Park and to overlooks with panoramic views of Boulder. View prehistoric points of interest, the site of Boulder’s first settler’s encampment, the location of Chief Niwot’s winter camp, the route of the local cattle drive, and much more.

Join me for a hiking or moderate mountain biking tour of the nearby historic coal mining town of Marshall. We’ll visit the former town site, various mine locations, caves that were once home to miners, old rail lines, and view interesting geologic formations at this beautiful area just outside of Boulder.

Distance: Approximately 2.0 miles on moderate terrain. (More miles optional on mountain bikes.)
